23, 2019. You can submit your essay anytime between these dates, and all
essays must be submitted by 11:59 PM Eastern Time, June 23, 2019. Contest
dates also relevant for determining age and student status eligibilities.
· AGE ELIGIBILITY: Age 17 to 26 at some point
during the contest period (March 14, 2019 to June 20, 2019).
· (FOR THOSE UNDER 18): Permission from a Parent
or Guardian if under 18 on the date you're submitting the essay.
· STUDENT STATUS: Full time student (High
School; College; University; Vocational Training) at any point during the
contest period (March 14, 2019 to June 23, 2019).
· AMERICAN CITIZEN: If selected for prize, proof
of American Citizenship.
· ONE ESSAY PER PARTICIPANT
· NO EDITING AFTER SUBMISSION
· DFLA MEMBERSHIP, GENDER AND POLITICAL PARTY
AFFILIATION IMMATERIAL: There is no advantage or disadvantage to being a
member of DFLA, of gender, or being affiliated with a political party.
