CEO of Tomorrow Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2013

Award Amount: $2,500

Eligibility:
  • To be eligible for this opportunity. students must be interested in studying business leadership and/or entrepreneurship.  Students should be planning to be enrolled in a four-year university or college between August 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014.
Requirements:
  • The application for the CEO of Tomorrow Scholarship includes two parts:
    • Online survey
    • A 500-1000 word essay
      • The topic of the essay is The American Education System.  Possible (NOT required) topics to expand upon may include the following:
      • Education System Structure (organization, standardized tests, classroom size, online courses, etc.)
      • Learning Style (study groups, internships, study abroad programs, etc.)
      • Teaching Style (online assignments, hands-on experiences, lectures, grading criteria, etc.)
      • Class Credit (more/less general education classes, more/less specified emphasis classes, internship hours toward graduation credit, etc.)
      • Overall, the essay should answer the question, "If you could change anything about the American education system what would it be?"

Undergraduate Merit and Financial Need Scholarships

Deadline: April 1, 2014

Award Amount: $1,000

Eligibility:
  • Must be a full-time, sophomore or beyond
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 ("C+" average) for financial needs scholarship, OR a minimum GPA of 3.0 ("B" average) for merit scholarship
  • Must demonstrate community service and involvement
Requirements:
  •  Completed application form
  • Three letters of recommendation from persons who can attest to your character, interpersonal relationships, and academic achievements, but should not come from family members or peers

The Home Security Scholarship

Eligibility:
  •  Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident of the United States and may not be an associate (employee) of any division of YourLocalSecurity.com
  •  Incoming freshman must have a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale, have taken either the ACT or SAT test and must be a high school or home school senior graduating or earning a GED between August 1 of the previous year and July 31 of the current year, who will enroll for fall as a freshman at a two-year or four-year college or university

Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (kindergarten through graduate school) in the United States
  • Must have demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States at least within the last 12 months (added consideration is given to students working to fight childhood hunger)
  • Must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States
  • Volunteer services must be helping non-family members
  • Recommenders must be at least 21 years of age, and may NOT be your parent, guardian or family member

Collegiate Inventors Competition

American Mathematical Society Centennial Fellowship Program

Deadline: December 1st, 2013

Award Amount: Stipend up to $82,000

Eligibility:
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have not had extensive fellowship support in the past
  • Recipients may not hold the Centennial Fellowship concurrently with another major research award such as a Sloan fellowship, NSF Postdoctoral fellowship, or CAREER award
  • Under normal circumstances, the fellowship cannot be deferred
  • Applications will be accepted from those currently holding a tenured, tenure track, post-doctoral, or comparable (at the discretion of the selection committee) position at an institution in North America
