In order to apply, applicants must submit a 500+ word essay responding to the following prompt:
In a world that is devastated almost daily by acts of extreme violence in the name of religion or against those of different ethnicity, how can a solid education in Theology, Anthropology, Psychology or Sociology enable you to promote peace, understanding, tolerance and kindness not only at an academic level, but also in your day to day life?
All essays must be submitted to scholarships@virtuousprom.com beginning each year on November 1 and received no later than January 31. Out of the pool of applicants, we will choose three finalists by March 1. Finalists will be chosen based on the coherency and persuasiveness of their essays. We will then notify the finalists and post the three finalists’ essays on our blog and on our Facebook page. The winner will be decided on overall persuasiveness and coherency and will be announced March 31 on Facebook.
